Mindfulness And self-hypnosis
for hot flashes

A three week workshop
at the New Mexico Cancer Center

Learn how the power of your mind can reduce and even eliminate hot flash intensity and frequency.
Nothing to book right now. Check back soon.

Yes, you can manage your hot flashes!

Hot flashes are one of the greatest challenges patients with hormonal cancers face, but there is genuine, deep relief to be found in self-hypnosis.

In a highly cited, randomized control clinical trial, hypnotherapy was found to reduce hot flashes in breast cancer survivors by 68%! This workshop will teach the techniques used in the study and more, including education in self-hypnosis, guided imagery and mindset management practices. You'll learn to relax your nervous system and lower reactivity, re-orient your mind-body connection towards healing and away from hot flash symptoms, and learn some of the language of the body for more awareness and control.

Please plan to attend all three workshop dates. Self-hypnosis is a skill that must be practiced and improved upon to produce durable results. All workshop attendees will receive three progressive, downloadable self-hypnosis audio files to practice at home, and a neck pillow for comfortable self-hypnosis anywhere.

Participation is free and limited to patients of the New Mexico Cancer Center and members of the Pink Warrior House. All those with a diagnosis of hormonal cancer (breast, prostate, cervical, etc) who are experiencing hot flash symptoms are welcome to attend.
